Matrescence is the season of becoming a mother. The full transformation requires healing, peace, and time, of course. For a pregnant or postpartum woman who’s also system impacted, that season is too often spent with insecurity, stress, and lack of resources or time. Matrescence Ascending changes that. A supportive residence where a mother isn't just given a roof, but surrounded by people who help her heal and build what comes next.

For a mother who is pregnant or newly parenting, losing stable housing — whether through homelessness, poverty, or a return from incarceration — puts both her health and her baby's at risk. A record makes housing even harder to secure, right when a newborn needs stability most. Matrescence Ascending exists to close that gap.
